Many customers are surprised to learn that a faulty TPMS valve doesn’t always require a completely new sensor.
Over time, the small serviceable components naturally wear due to moisture, corrosion, road salt and general use.
A TPMS service kit typically includes:

Replacing these components can often restore the valve assembly while keeping the original sensor in place, making it a more economical repair where appropriate for £20 per sensor.

Sometimes a sensor simply reaches the end of its working life.
When replacement is required, we provide:

We can replace a single sensor for £90 or all four depending on your vehicle’s requirements. Before you leave, we’ll ensure everything is communicating correctly and your dashboard warning light has been reset where appropriate.

We’re happy to fit customer-supplied sensors provided they’re compatible with your vehicle for £30 per sensor.

Yes. We’re happy to fit customer-supplied TPMS sensors provided they’re suitable for your vehicle. We can also programme and test them where required.
A service kit replaces the small wearable components around the sensor, such as the valve core, seals and retaining nut. If the sensor itself is still working correctly, replacing these parts can often extend its lifespan.
Most TPMS diagnostics or sensor replacements can usually be completed during your appointment, although times vary depending on the vehicle and the work required.
In many cases yes, but some vehicles require a relearn or programming procedure after a new sensor has been fitted. We’ll complete this as part of the service where applicable.
Yes. Lower temperatures can reduce tyre pressure naturally, particularly during autumn and winter. Even a small pressure drop can activate the TPMS warning light.
Most passenger vehicles first registered from November 2014 are required to have a functioning TPMS. It also forms part of the MOT inspection on applicable vehicles.

Yes. We’re happy to fit customer-supplied TPMS sensors.
Our charge is £30 per sensor, including fitting and programming/relearn where possible.
However, not all aftermarket sensors are compatible with every vehicle. We recommend checking compatibility before purchasing.
If a customer-supplied sensor proves incompatible, the £30 charge still applies for the work carried out.
Yes.
When we supply and fit a new Autel TPMS sensor for £90, the initial programming is included.
You do not need to pay an additional programming fee.
Our separate £30 programming/relearn service is intended for vehicles with existing compatible, working sensors that need reprogramming or resetting.
If your existing TPMS sensors are functioning correctly but need reprogramming or relearning, we charge £30 per vehicle, covering up to four sensors.
This includes the appropriate programming/relearn procedure, vehicle reset where required and a final system check.
You don’t need to purchase new sensors if your existing ones can be successfully reprogrammed.
A TPMS service kit costs £20 per sensor.
